Air Doc
Air Doc is a Mac file transfer and preview app that works with iPhone and iPad devices on your local network.
What is Air Doc?
Air Doc is a native Mac productivity app for sending files from a Mac to an iPhone or iPad and browsing files stored in the companion mobile app. It is designed for people who want local-network transfers without relying on cloud storage for everyday document, image, audio, and media handoff. You can drag and drop files to a connected device, preview work on an iPad or iPhone while editing on your Mac, and send screenshots or clipboard contents directly from the desktop. The app also supports browser-based access to files in the Air Doc ecosystem and can be used in workflows such as document sharing, design preview, and offline media transfer. Air Doc is published by Traunau and is offered for macOS as a lightweight companion to the iOS version.

Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
Air Doc is ordinary companion software for local file transfer between your Mac and mobile devices. It may access files you choose to send, interact with your local network to discover nearby devices, and exchange clipboard or screenshot data when you use those features. Those behaviors are consistent with its purpose, but you should still use them intentionally, especially when handling sensitive documents or clipboard contents. If you no longer use Air Doc with iPhone or iPad devices, removing it should mainly affect those transfer and preview features.
Recommendation: Keep Air Doc if you use it to move files or previews between your Mac and iPhone or iPad. If you do not use that workflow anymore, you can remove it to reduce clutter without affecting macOS itself.
