4K Wallpaper
4K Wallpaper is a Mac wallpaper app for browsing high-resolution desktop backgrounds and automatically rotating them on a schedule.
What is 4K Wallpaper?
4K Wallpaper is a native Mac wallpaper app that helps users find, apply, and rotate high-resolution desktop backgrounds. It is designed for people who want a simple way to refresh their Mac desktop with 4K, 5K, and other HD wallpaper images without manually searching for files. The app includes a built-in wallpaper library, supports setting a selected image as the desktop background, and can automatically change wallpapers on a timer. It also supports using local images, which is useful if you want to mix downloaded wallpapers with your own picture collection. According to its Mac App Store listing, the app is published under the Elimisoft name and is focused on desktop personalization on macOS rather than system tuning or cleanup.

Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
This app's behavior is generally in line with its purpose as a wallpaper manager. It may run at login to keep scheduled wallpaper changes working, and it needs normal access to change your desktop background and work with pictures you choose to use. If you no longer want automatic wallpaper rotation or background activity, you can quit the app or remove it without affecting macOS itself.
Recommendation: Keep 4K Wallpaper if you use it to manage or rotate desktop backgrounds. If you do not use its wallpaper library or auto-change feature, removing it is usually reasonable and should only affect your saved app-specific wallpaper setup and preferences.
