diScanner needs Camera access to scan new pages. It uses Photos access when you select existing images to create a PDF or save an individual PDF page as an image in the diScanner album.

Review the permission

  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Find diScanner in the app list.
  3. Enable Camera if you want to scan new pages.
  4. Allow Photos access if you want to create PDFs from photos or save PDF pages as images.
  5. Return to diScanner and retry the action.

What changes

  • The exact Photos choices shown by iOS depend on the system version and whether diScanner is requesting permission to add an image.
  • Denying Camera access does not prevent you from managing existing documents.
  • Denying Camera access does not prevent you from creating a PDF from photos when Photos access is available.
  • Permission changes do not automatically repeat a failed scan or export.

Privacy tips

  • Grant only the access needed for the workflow you use.
  • A page saved to Photos is a separate image copy. Deleting the PDF from diScanner does not remove that image from the diScanner album.
