Saving a page to Photos is useful when a service accepts an image instead of a PDF. diScanner exports the currently selected PDF page as a JPEG image and places it in an album named diScanner.

Steps

  1. Open the PDF from Documents.
  2. Tap the page you want to export. Page controls appear around the selected page.
  3. Tap the photo button shown on the selected page.
  4. Allow Photos access if iOS requests it.
  5. Wait for the Successfully Saved message.
  6. Open Photos, find the diScanner album, and check the exported image.
  7. Repeat these steps for any additional page you want to save.

Before you finish

  • The photo button saves one selected page at a time; it does not convert the complete PDF into one image.
  • Photo-library organization and iCloud Photos synchronization are controlled by Photos and iOS.
  • Saving pages to Photos creates additional copies that may remain after the diScanner document is deleted.

Tips

  • Remove unnecessary photo copies when finished handling sensitive material.
  • Use PDF export when page order must remain bundled in one file.
