Saving a page to Photos is useful when a service accepts an image instead of a PDF. diScanner exports the currently selected PDF page as a JPEG image and places it in an album named diScanner.
Steps
- Open the PDF from Documents.
- Tap the page you want to export. Page controls appear around the selected page.
- Tap the photo button shown on the selected page.
- Allow Photos access if iOS requests it.
- Wait for the Successfully Saved message.
- Open Photos, find the diScanner album, and check the exported image.
- Repeat these steps for any additional page you want to save.
Before you finish
- The photo button saves one selected page at a time; it does not convert the complete PDF into one image.
- Photo-library organization and iCloud Photos synchronization are controlled by Photos and iOS.
- Saving pages to Photos creates additional copies that may remain after the diScanner document is deleted.
Tips
- Remove unnecessary photo copies when finished handling sensitive material.
- Use PDF export when page order must remain bundled in one file.
