An app update result is missing or wrong

Check release channels, duplicate app copies, inaccessible locations, version metadata, and official update sources.

Confirm the installed copy

Search Applications and connected volumes for duplicates. diCleaner may inventory an older copy you no longer open.

App Store, direct, beta, enterprise, and regional versions can differ. A comparison from another channel may not apply.

Quit and reopen an updated app, then run a new check. Ensure its bundle location is accessible.

Confirm through the app’s own update command, developer website, or Mac App Store. Some apps do not expose a supported public update source.

Include installed and reported versions, distribution channel, official update page, and app path. Do not download from an unknown mirror.
