Mount the share in Finder with an authorized account before selecting it in diCleaner.
Folder authorization lets the app use the mounted location. It does not change server permissions or credentials.
Keep the network stable during scanning. A disconnect can make results incomplete or stale.
Read-only access can permit analysis while removal fails. Ask the server administrator to correct access rather than broadening unrelated local permissions.
Avoid content comparison across slow remote storage unless necessary. Start with a narrow folder and preserve server backups and snapshots.
