A complete technical report reduces back-and-forth and helps separate an application issue from a permission, disk, or network problem.
Find the diCleaner version
Open the diCleaner menu and choose the About command. Record the displayed version and, when shown, build information.
Also note whether the app came from the Mac App Store, direct download, or a beta channel.
Find macOS and hardware information
Choose Apple menu → About This Mac and record the macOS version and Mac model. Do not include the device serial number in a public report.
Describe the problem
Include:
- The exact tool and action.
- What you expected.
- What happened instead.
- The full error message.
- Whether the problem occurs every time.
- The selected location and its disk type.
- Permission status relevant to the tool.
- Steps that reliably reproduce it.
For performance issues, include approximate file count, data size, and the stage where progress slowed.
Protect private information
A screenshot can reveal user names, folder paths, application names, file names, email addresses, or network details. Crop or redact information that is not necessary.
Do not submit passwords, vault credentials, private file contents, license keys, or authentication tokens.
Before contacting support
Update diCleaner, reproduce the issue once with a small safe test location when possible, and check the relevant troubleshooting article.
Do not repeatedly reproduce a destructive issue using important data.
