The row of module icons at the bottom of the main diCleaner window is the module shortcut bar. It provides direct access to tools you use frequently without changing categories in the main sidebar first.
The shortcut bar may look similar to the macOS Dock, but it belongs only to diCleaner. Adding or removing an icon does not change the macOS Dock, install or uninstall a tool, or start a scan.
Open a tool
Move the pointer over an icon to see the module name, then select it to open that tool. Opening a module does not begin cleanup or approve a removal automatically.
If more shortcuts are present than the window can display, scroll horizontally or use the left and right edge controls to reach additional icons.
Add a module
Select the heart button at the right end of the shortcut bar to open Favorites. Find the module you want and select its heart button. The module is added to the shortcut bar, and your selection is saved when you close the popover.
Only modules available in the current diCleaner edition and build can appear. If a feature is unavailable, adding its shortcut does not make the feature available.
Remove a module
Open Favorites from the heart button at the right end of the shortcut bar, then select the filled heart beside the module you want to remove. Close the popover to save the change.
This removes only the shortcut. It does not remove the module, its settings, scan results, or files. Use Restore Default Favorites in the Favorites popover if you want to restore the default shortcut selection.
Reorder shortcuts
Drag an icon left or right within the shortcut bar, then release it in the preferred position. The order is saved for later sessions.
When the bar contains more icons than fit in the window, move through the bar before dragging an item to a distant position. A normal click opens the module; begin dragging before moving the pointer if you intend to reorder it.
Shared shortcut order
The shortcut selection and order can also be used by the supported diCleaner Menu companion. Changes made in the main app are shared with the menu component when that component and edition support the same module.
An unavailable module may be omitted from one edition even if it was previously present in the saved shortcut order.
If the bar does not update
Open the Favorites popover and confirm whether the module’s heart is selected. If the shortcut still does not appear:
- Close any focused module panel.
- Change the window width and check whether the icon is outside the visible part of the bar.
- Quit and reopen diCleaner.
- Confirm that you are running the intended app edition and copy.
