macOS includes protected applications and services required by the system. Organizations can also install and enforce software through device management.

A protected or managed app may resist removal, return automatically, or show restricted controls.

Do not disable System Integrity Protection, remove management profiles without authority, or alter system ownership to force an uninstall.

For organization-managed software, contact the administrator. For specialized third-party software, use the developer’s uninstaller.

An application appearing unfamiliar does not establish that it is unsafe. Verify its path, signature, developer, and management status.
