diBirthday requests system access only when a feature needs it: Contacts for contact imports, Calendar and Reminders for their import/export workflows, Photos for chosen images, and Notifications for birthday alerts.

Review the permission

  1. Open iOS Settings and locate diBirthday.
  2. Review each permission separately.
  3. Enable only the sources and destinations you intend to use.
  4. Review notification alert, sound, badge, and Focus settings.
  5. Return to diBirthday and retry the relevant action.

What changes

  • Manual birthday entry remains available without source-import permissions.
  • Limited Photos access can restrict the app to selected pictures.
  • Revoking a permission does not automatically delete records already imported into diBirthday.

Privacy tips

  • Periodically review permissions you no longer use.
  • Treat imported contact information as personal data.
