diBirthday provides three widget arrangements:

  • Select Birthday, a configurable small Home Screen widget for one chosen birthday.
  • Upcoming Birthdays, a static medium or large Home Screen widget.
  • Upcoming Birthdays, available in supported rectangular, circular, and inline Lock Screen positions.

Steps

  1. Open diBirthday once and confirm the birthday list is current.
  2. Touch and hold the Home Screen and add a widget.
  3. Search for diBirthday.
  4. Choose the widget description and size you want.
  5. For the small Select Birthday widget, touch and hold it after placement, choose Edit Widget, and select a birthday.
  6. For medium and large widgets, organize the birthday list in the app; those widgets use the upcoming list rather than a per-widget birthday picker.

Before you finish

  • iOS controls widget refresh timing.
  • Only the small widget has the individual birthday selection control.
  • Photos, emoji, and text are displayed at a smaller scale than in the app.

Tips

  • Keep the app installed and open it after major list changes.
  • Do not rely on a widget as the only reminder for a critical event.
