diBirthday stores its working list on the device. When iCloud Sync is enabled and iCloud is available, the app also uses its CloudKit container to merge birthday records across compatible signed-in devices.

How to use this information

  1. Open diBirthday Settings.
  2. Find Sync with iCloud.
  3. Enable it only if you want cross-device synchronization.
  4. Allow time for the initial merge, then compare the list on each device.

Important details

  • Turning sync on requires an available iCloud account.
  • Imported data becomes diBirthday records; it is not a live mirror of the source.
  • Deleting a record while sync is enabled can propagate that deletion.

Practical tips

  • Back up or verify important records before first enabling sync on several devices.
  • Do not repeatedly toggle sync while an initial merge is in progress.
