千问
千问 is Alibaba's AI assistant for Mac, offering chat, search, writing, summarization, translation, and content creation tools in one desktop app.
What is 千问?
千问 is a Mac productivity app that brings Alibaba's AI assistant to the desktop for writing, research, translation, summarization, and everyday question answering. It is designed for users who want a general-purpose AI workspace for study, work, and personal tasks without relying only on a browser tab. The app includes conversational assistance, AI search, webpage summarization, presentation help, image generation, and recording notes, making it useful for drafting text, reviewing information, and organizing ideas. Users can also access quick interactions through a small floating window for faster ask-and-answer workflows while working in other apps. On macOS, it functions as a native desktop client for the Qwen service rather than a standalone offline model tool. This makes it most relevant to people who want convenient access to cloud-based AI features from their Mac.

Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
This is a legitimate AI assistant app for Mac. Network access and cloud processing are normal for its purpose, so prompts, uploaded content, and activity related to AI features may be sent to the service. The app's store listing also indicates analytics and diagnostic data collection, and some data may be used for tracking. Use it with ordinary care: avoid sharing highly sensitive personal, financial, or confidential work information unless you are comfortable with that data being processed online.
Recommendation: Keep 千问 if you actively use it for AI writing, search, summaries, or creative work on your Mac. If you do not use it, removing it is a reasonable way to reduce background clutter and limit data sharing, though you may lose saved app-specific history or quick-access features until you reinstall it.
