Calendar import uses selected calendar events. Contacts import lists contacts that have a birthday field and creates reminders from those dates. It is not a general importer for every contact date.

Steps

  1. Choose the intended import source.
  2. Grant only the requested system permission.
  3. Select recognizable items.
  4. Import them, then open the resulting records.
  5. Correct title, target date, time, and alert settings.

Before you finish

  • Contacts without a birthday field do not appear in the Contacts importer.
  • Calendar recurrence and time-zone details may not map perfectly.
  • Imports are copies rather than guaranteed two-way links.

Tips

  • Avoid importing private contact fields that are unnecessary.
  • Check for duplicates before importing again.
