iOS owns notification authorization. diReminder can schedule requests, but the system decides whether and how they are presented.
Review the permission
- Open iOS Settings > Notifications > diReminder.
- Allow notifications if desired.
- Choose Lock Screen, Notification Center, banners, sounds, and badges.
- Review Show Previews for sensitive reminder titles.
- Check Focus and Scheduled Summary settings.
What changes
- Turning notifications off does not delete reminders.
- Granting permission later does not replay past alerts.
- Badge counts and banner visibility are separate settings.
Privacy tips
- Use private wording for reminders visible on a shared screen.
- Create a short test reminder after changing settings.
