iOS owns notification authorization. diReminder can schedule requests, but the system decides whether and how they are presented.

Review the permission

  1. Open iOS Settings > Notifications > diReminder.
  2. Allow notifications if desired.
  3. Choose Lock Screen, Notification Center, banners, sounds, and badges.
  4. Review Show Previews for sensitive reminder titles.
  5. Check Focus and Scheduled Summary settings.

What changes

  • Turning notifications off does not delete reminders.
  • Granting permission later does not replay past alerts.
  • Badge counts and banner visibility are separate settings.

Privacy tips

  • Use private wording for reminders visible on a shared screen.
  • Create a short test reminder after changing settings.
