Overview presents current system information to help you understand what the Mac is doing. Readings change continuously and should be interpreted over time and in context.
Processor and GPU
CPU or GPU activity rises when applications compute, render, index, encode media, or update. A brief high reading is normal. Investigate activity that stays high while the Mac is idle or corresponds with heat, battery drain, or poor responsiveness.
Use Activity Monitor to identify the responsible process. diCleaner’s summary is a starting point, not a replacement for per-process diagnostics.
On supported Macs, processor cards can also show temperature. Availability depends on the hardware, sensors, macOS, and app edition. A missing temperature is not evidence of a hardware fault.
Memory
macOS intentionally uses free memory for cache. Focus on sustained memory pressure, repeated swapping, or applications becoming unresponsive rather than expecting a large amount of unused RAM.
Close applications you no longer need before using a memory action. If pressure returns immediately, identify the process consuming memory.
Disk
Disk capacity shows used and available storage for supported volumes. Values can differ from Finder or System Settings because purgeable space, snapshots, caches, and calculation timing are handled differently.
Use Space Analyzer to investigate file-level distribution. Do not infer that all used space is removable.
Display
Display status can show the connected display name, resolution, and refresh rate when macOS provides them. Available details can vary with the display, connection type, adapter, Mac model, and macOS version. A missing value does not necessarily indicate a display problem.
Battery
Battery status can include charge, power source, and supported health information. Battery drain depends on brightness, radio use, application workload, connected devices, temperature, and battery age.
Supported hardware can also report battery temperature. Use it as a current sensor reading, not as a battery-health diagnosis.
A short observation is not enough to evaluate battery health. Compare behavior under similar workloads.
Network
The network card shows aggregate upload and download activity using recent samples. The chart helps show direction and change over time; it does not identify individual applications or inspect traffic contents.
Navigate status cards
Some Overview sections present multiple status cards in a slider. Use the visible arrows or supported trackpad and pointer interactions to move between cards. The current card does not change what diCleaner scans or cleans.
Refresh behavior
Overview polls system data periodically. A reading may lag a rapid change slightly. If a section is unavailable, the Mac model, permission, connected hardware, or macOS support may not provide that metric.
